4. Procure, select and install instruments

NILU support the practical procurement process in order to obtain the best possible price for the necessary equipment. 

NILU may develop specification of appropriate instruments including monitors and/or sampling equipment as well as meteorological equipment according to the customer's monitoring objectives. The customer approves the selected instrumentation, and NILU undertakes the procurement, testing and installation of hardware and software at the relevant sites. 

Installations, calibration, field-testing and operation start up is part of the NILU offers. Training, service, quality controls, maintenance and spare parts may be part of the procurement procedures requested from the supplier. The field operations and maintenance is covered by a separate component.
