Atmosphere and Climate Department (ATMOS)

Understanding about how the atmosphere's chemical and physical properties are affected by natural and man-made emissions is central in dealing with reduction of air pollution and climate change.

ATMOS is working on air pollution on regional (European) and global level, greenhouse gases and their drivers, transport of volcanic ash, ozone layer and UV.  The department is also carrying out extensive international collaboration and serves as data center for a range of measuring and research programs.
