Urban Environment and Industry Dept. (INBY)

From its very beginning NILU has carried out research on issues regarding local and regional air pollution. Research at the Urban Environment and Industry Department covers everything from the development of management systems for air quality in large cities to abatement strategies and systems that include green house gass emission and local air pollution.  The department has a leading position in monitoring and research on industrial emissions, including the Carbon capture and storage industry. Finally the department has built up considerable expertise in assessing how air pollution - ambient and indoors - affects our cultural heritage.
