IRENIE

	IRENIE will demonstrate and evaluate the telematic options for increasing the efficiency of flows of data and information at the local, national and international level.
	IRENIE wants to provide European-wide information services for the European Environment Agency (EEA) and its customers such as the European Commission (EC), national environmental protection authorities and for the public.
	The IRENIE project is fully integrated with the Work Programme of the EEA and the European Topic Centres on Air Quality (ETC/AQ) and Inland Waters (ETC/IW) which are collaborating by sharing experiences on monitoring networks and at the following demonstrator sites: ETC/AQ AIRBASE (NL), ETC/IW WATERBASE (GB), Fredrikstad (NO), Athens (GR), and River Thames (GB).
