GEOmon Data Centre

The main goal of the GEOmon Data Centre is to deliver high quality products that will be freely accessible to the scientific, resource management, and policy communities in Europe and around the world.

The GEOmon Data Centre (GDC) will offer access to data submitted to the GDC as well as to external databases through queries of metadata. Please read the document on Data Policy.
The GEOmon Data Centre is under development.
To "CREATE A ONE-STOP-SHOP FOR ATMOSPHERIC COMPOSITION" we aim to:
-establish the data centre by building on existing infrastructures with a long-term perspective on operations.
-simplify the data upload and download procedures.
-enable search for and retrieval of atmospheric composition data.
-provide visibility to all data providers, participating scientists and programmes.
-build statistical applications calculating averages, percentiles, standard deviations, etc.
-allow modellers to retrieve data in formats suitable for automated model validation.
-establish a data sharing agreement between GEOmon existing databases (e.g. NDACC, WDCGG).
-provide the GEOmon data users Rapid Delivery data (non-validated preliminary data with a short delay after measurement).
-develop machine-to-machine interface(s) for systems that are external to the GEOmon system.
A more detailed document on the planned developments are found here.

For the time being we refer to the official web-site of each induvidual data centre (below).

Preliminary GEOmon (Rapid Delivery) data:

  • Browse data Please note that at the moment only data for "activity4_StratosphericOzone" are available.
  • Upload data

Long record validated data stored at the GEOmon Data Centre:

* The following two data bases exist at NILU and will be available in GEOmon Data Centre through a harmonized, common entry. More details on how these two interfaces will be linked to the GEOmon Data Centre are to be found in the document on the planned developments above.

Upload validated data:

Long record data stored at external databases:

To upload data to the external databases; please follow the rules and links given by the data centres listed above.
